夏からボストンに行きますが、行く前にやることを考えた方がいいかなと思い、英作文の練習も兼ねて決意表明。

What I want to do in Boston

I’m going to study in Boston from this August and will stay there for two years. I have three main things that I want to do in Boston; studying, arts and sports. Let me explain below:

First, I want to study Business and the background of social problems including poverty and social inequity in developing countries. I want to study both since I want to solve social problems through market. I want to contribute to solving social issues by becoming an entrepreneur in the future. Upon graduating from the grad school, I want to start my business and help people who suffer from poverty and social inequity.

Second, I want to paint pictures and cartoons. When I was a junior high school student, some of my hobbies were drawing pictures and cartoons. While being a student at the grad school, I will have a free pass to go to Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. At the museum, I want to learn how to sketch, draw in oil painting and reproduce famous paintings. I also want to start drawing cartoons about my life in Boston and Japanese culture.


Finally, I want to play sports in Boston: jogging and playing Ultimate. One particular sport I want to do is jogging. The graduate school I’m going to study at is located about 20 km from the central of Boston. I want to run from the school to the center of Boston once a week. Another sport I want to start is Ultimate. Ultimate or Ultimate Frisbee is a limited-contact team sport played with a 175 gram flying disc. Ultimate’s rule is similar to American football or rugby. I play Touch Rugby and I want to continue to play the same or similar sports in Boston so I choose Ultimate.
